Sharen Watson . About

Sharen loves the use of multicoloured texture, and the mystery of abstraction. Currently paintings are worked in stages beginning with choice of colours that reflect her mood on the day. Transparent layers and textures are added all before a subject matter comes to light. Work is a frenzy of flying paint; pure pleasure; plump and succulent. Gradually some form prompts development and the frenzy slows. Subject matter's blocked in; composition and values refined; opaque colours added and finally she decides which way is "up". Consequently, subject matter may always be random ; but hopefully it will always be exciting.
